Pathfinders is an activities-based club for 10 to 16‑year-olds who love adventure and want to explore more of the world around them. The Club helps children understand how God wants to play a massive role in their lives – if they are willing to let Him. Pathfinders is a journey of self-discovery, where children are challenged to step out of their comfort zones and achieve things they had not thought they could do.
Saturdays (monthly) 2pm – 6pm
Gold Coast Central Church
Adventurers is a Club for children in grades 1-4. Throughout the year children learn about four main categories: My God, My Self, My Family & My Community. There are also many activities (“awards”) in sports, nature health, safety, arts, and homecrafts. Some activities may run on a Sunday or over the weekend.
There is also a focus on service and working with the Adventurers on living their lives with the needs of others in mind. In line with this some Clubs choose to be involved in events such as: Anzac Day; Clean-up Australia Day; and other service oriented activities.
A Place for Parents
Adventurers is a program designed to support the child, and the family unit that they are a part of. As such, we encourage you as their caregiver to come along and participate with your child. There are many ways that you can be involved and be a part of the fun.
Kids Connect life groups are held for all children from birth to 18 years old:
0-3 Years: Room 1 – Little Ones Lane
3+; Kinder/Prep: Rm 3 – Kingdom Kids Court
Grades 1-3: Room 4 – Adventure Avenue
Grades 4-6: Room 2 – Salvation Street
Grades 7-12: Auditorium 2 – High School
These fun weekly sessions are jammed-packed with great educational music and activities to help grow and develop your child, followed by a healthy snack and play time. Plus, some morning tea for you to enjoy with the other adults! Parents and caregivers will enjoy this time with their child. You’ll find friendship and encouragement. We aim to provide that village to help you raise your child. Come along … we’re keen to connect with other families in our church and community.
Established in 1990, mainly music is a fun music group for parents or primary caregivers and their young child (birth to school age) to participate in and enjoy together.
Young children and their parents/caregivers join together for a fun, 30-minute music session, then afterwards enjoy a refreshing drink and delicious morning tea (children are given a snack and drink as well as the adults) in a relaxing setting. Our friendly church volunteers will then supervise the children during a happy play time with toys and activities.
Throughout the session, children are introduced to music, creativity and more, plus families are given a chance to think about the God-part of life. Amazing to think that all this can be achieved in a loving, shared family environment. The children also have the opportunity to develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, maths and pre-reading skills as well as socialise with others.
